I had heard nothing about this movie before viewing on Showtime, last night. We have horses and love rodeo, so we thought we would give it a try. While watching Brady talking to his rodeo peers, as they were telling stories and laughing, I said to my husband, "These guys are real people, not actors!" I did not mean this in a bad way; I was already liking everyone I'd seen (not yet loving the Dad, later I felt for him). Me being a softee, I cried when his Dad sold his horse, when Apollo was put down, when Lane sat in the saddle and at the end. I give it five stars! Brady was excellent at telling his painful story. Even if you don't have horses or don't love rodeo, you will love this movie.
