The series is well acted.. especially Andie MacDowell. However, it is a celebration of losers. Do losers gravitate towards each other? I kept watching hoping the main single mom character would wise up, and do what was right .. but she just keeps doing the same stupid stuff over and over. Like choosing the lowest paying job she could find. More than that.. she is surrounded by an array of other losers. There is no "pulling yourself up by the old bootstraps" here. You will feel good about your life after watching this.

This series gets better each episode; great lead actors peppered with big star cameos. Humorous. Who doesn't love a "who done it?" No creepy mansion..but a classic New York Apartment building.
