Battles are unrealistic with ships disappearing when well within range even just a few hundred meters away. Battles are rigged with the best players all on one team, rather than a completely random spread of player skill. Certain players have the ability to fire shells over very high elevations with devastating accuracy, but I have never found any ship in the game or in reality that can fire their guns almost vertically. This game is just one big fruit machine with the odds of you getting your money back at 0% returns.
