OG Pumpkins fan. This is the first SP album since Zeitgeist that I’ve been legit excited about. Sighommi and 999 are some of their best songs ever. Edin and Murnau are both beautiful bookends to a wonderfully balanced release. Only cons are the lyrics are hit or miss. And although Corgan’s singing ability is greatly improved, his voice sounds fragile on recent releasesa; perpetually on the verge of breathless. But his melodies are still very strong and catchy. This album made me revisit everything from Oceania on just to confirm that this album is indeed remarkable. I hope Billy doesn’t get mad at us fans for liking songs that sound like old school Pumpkins 😅
