Five Nights at Freddy's Security Breach is a cool game... is what I expected myself to say when I bought the game in the first place.
Do keep in mind as I'll do myself throughout this review:
The game has only been out for 4 days and Steel Wool has already made a couple patches to better the game and I assume will still do in the future.
First off, I'm playing this game on a PS4 Pro and it runs at what feels like the bare minimum, I get around 30 fps if not less when I am inside larger areas with a lot of things to load at the same time, which would be understandable, but another big and polished game like Monster Hunter World, run 100 times better so there's no room for argument here.
Second, the game's way to tell you how to go through objectives is, in my opinion, handled exactly like Hunt Down the Freeman: Very little information given, no waypoints or obvious signs to progress, puzzles that are tedious and take a long time to accomplish, no checkpoints so if you die after completing a rather difficult part you are sent back all the way to your previous save, you cannot interact with the map so it's basically useless...
I could also go on and on about glitches and unfair "quirks" about the animatronics, for example: They can teleport, stand still at the exit you need to go through, are very easily avoidable if you just stay away far enough or use the FazCam/Fazer Blaster to stun them, Chica is the most annoying one to deal with, Freddy is useless only once you get his upgrades, etc.
Gameplay and performance wise, it's a mess. Story wise, which is another long topic I won't go into to avoid spoilers, it's either confusing or too predictable. Which is why I'll leave this review with a 2/5 for the time being until Steel Wool improves the game throughout the coming weeks.
