This is my favorite book of the series, and it was told so well. This time we are learning more about Oona, a character that we did not know a lot about in the first book. We finally learn about her past, and it is not pretty. The readers finally understand way she is the way she is, and it really makes you sympathize with her. Oona became a well-rounded character, and we all saw a new side of her that we didn’t think existed. In my opinion, this was my favorite book, because everyone’s stories were fleshed out, especially Oona’s story.

This book is about an opulent world in Orleans, where a group of beings called The Belles have the power to change and alter the cursed people that live there. One called Camilla, becomes the Queen’s favorite Belle, but after living at the castle for sometime, she realizes that this might be the lavish life she thought it would be. The reason why is because I had so much fun reading it for the first time, I was immersed in every word that I read. All the twists surprised me, and I felt for all the characters who were explained and developed so well.

This is my favorite book of the series. The book is so fun when you read it, it is funny when it needs to be, and serious and emotional when it needs to. It is so imaginative and executes the setting perfectly, for example, the author was explaining what Tartarus looks like, with all the ogres, giants, cyclops, furies, and titans that live there and remember who Percy Jackson is because he killed them. It was so nerve-racking to me the first time I read it, because I was so afraid that he was going to die. All of the characters are lovable and understanding, that you will never be able to put the book down.This was a good book for me to read, and I love it.
