I find it surprising that people can find anything good and funny. This is a horrible movie where throughout the end of the movie, Bridget Jones was depicted poorly. If she is desperate, that's because there is not a single characteristics likable in her. It seems she always has hormonal issues which cause her to act hysterically. I don't see why would two people want to fight for her just because she is the protagonist in the film. Her sobbing moments were just frustrating as even being in the publicity/journalism job, she hardly worked on her speaking skill. What she demonstrate really to like the audience? I hated that the director positioned her like a desperate chaotic woman in desperate need of relationship through the movie, with no character growth at all. There are movies where the message is being clear - 'There are other elements to look into a person's characteristics than to focus/stereotype one'. Example is Legally Blond. In the movie, Elle might be blond and focuses on looks, but she also has brilliance and amazing people skills, which ultimately makes her realize that she doesn't need other people's approval of what she is capable of.
In short, don't waste your time watching this movie. There are plenty of great rom-com movies out there!
