Seoul Searching is a good coming of age film to enjoy. Seeing all the actors portray other identities, cultures, and somewhat stereotypes made the movie funnier than imagined. It holds a good message and understanding of how different it is to be Korean, yet belong to a different culture.
Justin Chon does a good job in portraying the troubled Sid, who starts to understand and respect who he is through his teacher, Mr. Kim. Esteban Ahn is pretty comedic in his part as he portrays the Mexican Korean Sergio.
With love relationships, fights, and tearful moments, Seoul Searching is movie that feels like a cross between breakfast club and a little bit of Crazy Rich Asians (not counting the rich part).
