I find this show to be very refreshing. It’s not very often that we are able to see true depiction of the black experience in the 18th century or any black history for that matter, without shying away from the truths of what actually took place and refusing to make white viewers or non-black viewers feel comfortable. As a black person I would like to see more honest depictions of the black experience in America. Not just for “Entertainment” but for education; a lot of young black people are unaware or ill educated of the truth of our history. I give this five stars. Very nicely done. We need this now more than ever!
