cringe. I cringed, if highschoolers are this dumb then we are doomed. Noah is a control freak not a healthy example of a relationship, even the protagonist's best friend is toxic with all these rules they have to their friendship. I hate the dumb helpless girl bossed around by men stereotype, nothing is positive about the relationship with her love intrest, she just seems to be swooned by his muscles. Everything feels so forced.
The the idea of a kissing booth is so creepy and old and old fashioned, think about it - these young kids offering to be kissed by anyone. There short skirt scene is really inappropriate and involves some booty touching ... it creeps me out an adult wrote that.
The whole thing is so cliche with the strong jock type white boy and the slightly unpopular girl, ya think in 2020 we would have some sort of representation or non-stereotypical characters. Instead we have the odd tolken black characters occasionally introduced. The love triangle is so overdone and its been done 10 times better before this.If this is the high school musical for this age demographic that is absolutely tragic. Bad example for teens, I'm so tired of these cliche romance movies we really need a revamp of this genre.
I sound like a grumpy old man but this movie pissed me off I can't believe I sat there to watch an over-hyped hallmark "romcom." I'm just begging for some good teen movies that kids can relate or learn from. Life isn't all about hot muscle dudes, don't let a man rule your life ladies.
Thanks for coming to my ted talk.
