A promising plot absolutely ruined by an unnecessary scene about 20 minutes in to episode 1. I'm not a prude, but no thanks. We couldn't hit the off button fast enough.

We're enjoying the series...casting is well done and the plot moves along at a nice pace. Slow enough to give weight where needed but not overly dialogued. I hate to jump on the bandwagon, but it's just too dark to watch at points. I often don't even know who some of the secondary characters are because the lighting - or lack of - makes them unrecognizable. We watch it at night with all lights off and it's still hard to follow. Maybe I'm just old, but the director could get the point across and still allow the viewer to tell what's going on.

Edit: made it to the last episode. Dropped another star. The show is now tedious. Dialogue is reduced to F this F that. Every character is completely unbearable as is their delivery. They just mope around and have pointless conversations. Season 1 holds together fairly well but Season 2 begins to unravel immediately. It relies heavily on terrible dialogue between characters that become increasingly annoying. And so much unnecessary drama. I have 2 or 3 episodes left but am glad they never made a Season 3... suspect it would have been unbearable.

I can neither hate it or love it. There are times when it's just awkward...maybe it's meant to be...but the relationship between the two main characters is inconsistent at best. There are moments of suspense that pull it along, but I've yet to find myself anticipating the next episode. More like "eh, might as well".

Can't recommend this highly enough. Everything about it was excellent from casting to production. It's a beautiful story beautifully told. I just wish there were more episodes!

Is it a comedy? Is it an action movie? Is it a serious thriller? No, it's not really anything. Thankfully, the plot moves along, but the movie is filled with ridiculous moments that might work if it was just a comedy, but it was always awkwardly trying to be more. Poorly casted as well...no chemistry between any of the characters.

It has been years since I've seen a movie worth talking about. I suspect that all of the negativity comes from folks who can't watch a movie absent of superheroes and a climactic ending where the bad guy gets it (and everyone saw it coming). Leave the World Behind is superbly acted across the board, has great tension throughout and what a great ending. If you like movies that you can watch and immediately forget, sure, go elsewhere.

We have a large clock above our TV that reminded me how unnecessarily long this movie was. Slow, often cringeworthy...at times it reminded me of trying to get through WW84 (okay it wasn't THAT bad). A cast of unmemorable characters in a largely forgettable movie. It had potential, but overall so so bad.

I wasn't planning to rate this when looking for reviews but hey, why not. This movie is terrible. A half hour in I thought "I'm sure this will get better". An hour in I thought "when will this end!?" The acting is terrible. The story is terrible. The direction is terrible. Not much more to say beyond that.

Dreadfully awful. Go have a bowl of cold oatmeal instead.
