As a kid who followed Winx club through my childhood and played the games on my tablet, i was left very disappointed.
I think the series tried to hard to speak to the now generation and forgot what the fandom was really about.
The characters have no depth and are missing the essence that is Winx.
I am disappointed that Terra has replaced Flora and that Muza is an emotional mess. We are missing Techna and brandon too. There isn't much original about the series and it has followed in the trends of Riverdale and Sabrina. The innocence, wonder and adventure is completely lost.
It's very "sexed" up and the language doesn't even speak to any generation really.
I think if you watch it with a clear mind without knowing the whole Winx fandom back story, you may enjoy it... on a positive note, the series did develop some depth during the last few episodes...
This gives hope that it may actually be great and it starts to feel more like home.. so i would be quite excited for a season 2
