It didn't really feel like something the people at TRIGGER really tried on. Past works like Gurren Lagann, Kill La Kill, and Promare felt like they put their soul into it, from every scene and piece of music in it. BNA lacked anything that really stuck with me, music and scene wise, and the final scene between Allen and Ogami just felt... shoehorned in there. And the ost... it feels so average... It had nothing like Gurren Lagann's "Libera me from Hell", or Promare's "Superfly". The animation felt like it was inspired by trigger, and the story felt like a self-insert fanfiction. There was nothing to really get attached to, and no characters like Kamina, Simon, Ryuko, or Mako that made you genuinely proud, happy, sad, or in love with. The side characters were so forgettable compared to past works, and you barely remembered their names unlike the members of team dai gurren, or the elite four in Kill La Kill. Overall, TRIGGER could've done FAR better to make this feel like one of their properties, but they didn't.
