Not cohesive, it meandered for 3/4 of the book and threw out feeble red herrings. The dribbled info of the plot finally picks up momentum...... little too late. The book had such potential for a really good story with the widower and his young charge mixing with a generation with the French resistance and currently the boy’s father and his drug issues. But it dragged and stalled.
