Contrary to some of the poor reviews I have read, Sicario 2: Day of the Soldado, is a very different film, from the first. It shows a different, more compassionate side of Alejandro, but also his acceptance that he is expendable and will have to fight for his life, literally. Sicario 2015, was a masterpiece of intrigue, high tension, menace and dedication to severally disrupt, the hierarchy of the main drug cartels. Soldado was a more brutal, unforgiving film and portraying the people trafficking across the Mexican border and the manipulation of young teenagers to achieve this, at a cost to their lives, at any sign of weakness. Sicario gets a 5 star rating and Soldado 4.5 from me. Both films deserve to be seen 😀😀
