Honestly speaking, it was very disappointing. Yes I'll say that despite being a Mammookka fan. Especially after closely following the progress of this movie since last year, it was a disheartening 2 hour flick wherein I felt ambivalent- i.e. I felt bad for the cast and crew behind a project which had an amazing potential and also frustrated, as I literally waited for the movie to get over.
Can't deny that the sets were unbelievably realistic, impressive and truly authentic. A standing ovation to all those who were involved in creating it! Siddique Sir and Mammukka, like always lived upto everyone's expectations in terms of acting, so did many other actors, especially the little boy, Achuthan, whose work is commendable.
However, the main villain of this movie is it's script. It was too dull, uneventful and the dialogues were too sophisticated with unnecessary screen time given to absolutely trivial characters, who do not contribute to the plot suspense in any manner. The dance sequence by Mammookka was too unbearable to watch. Why would you do that to such a fine actor? We're completely fine and ready to overlook the fact that dancing is not his cup of tea, why not play by his strengths?
The action sequences were good but adulterated with unrealistic jumps and unbelievable sequences.
I do know it's very easy to comment on so much hardwork in no time at all but being a genuine fan of the actors in the movie and of malayalam cinema in general, despite the box office collections, I'd have to say it's a below average movie and totally not worth the 300 bucks and the time I spent to write this review.
