Just got my account banned for "being toxic" just because I drop a swear here or there. I get toxic because people intentionally lose games that I'm in. They don't target me but the moment they die a lot, they throw a tantrum by continually dying which ruins the whole game. Riot will never ban those people that "int" games because they make too much money from them. I went and checked on the account that "inted" the last game I was in before my account got banned and they still have their account. There is a mute function in the game that could easily fix my swearing if someone didn't want to read what I was typing but we can't control the player that is purposely trying to lose the game. Only Riot can, but they won't because they make too much money from banning an account. Because they figured they got you hooked already so by banning your account, you'll make a new one and respend the money on that one as well to get all the champs/skins you had before.
The issue of players purposely losing game isn't something new, it's been going on for years. Every year Riot claims they will push to ban those accounts more but as I just said those accounts go untouched. Another thing is, if I'm being "toxic" by just typing swears don't you think they would just ban my ability to chat without players rather than banning my entire account? Multiple other games take this measure first before perma banning accounts. Riot has established its self as the most popular game, so they feel they can get away with it, and I guess they do.
