Set in a close-knit small town far from glamorous Seoul, residents are honest, good-hearted, yet blunt and “basic” and “unrefined”… the main lead stands out as a skilful and helpful jack of all trades who is caring and insightful. Then comes a highly educated, guarded and self-centred woman from Seoul who is at the lowest point of her career. She stumbles upon this place, decides to start a new life here.
Daily interaction with everyone in the town slowly transforms her. She gradually puts down her guard to embrace humanity and goodness.
I think it is the combination of honest and soul-searching dialogues among the characters, the beautiful small town by the water, the simplicity and close-knit community life that touched my heart. The show is a piece of art. It warms your heart and will put a genuine smile on your face especially after a busy day working in the city.
