I typically love this show, but definitely not this episode. Children get separated from their parents every single time a parent goes to jail, say, for theft, DUI, sexual abuse, assault, etc. Every time someone in any country (let alone the U.S.) breaks a law, they are separated from friends and family. That is the nature of lawbreaking: punishment. When do we get to pick and choose which laws to honor and which ones not to? Law and order, consistently applied, is the only way to keep nations strong enough for anyone to want to live in them.
