It's not often that a film ticks all of the horror-genre boxes for me, but this film did just that. The boy Lucas is an amazing talent - as he trudges his way through life - dealing with the grim-changes of his younger brother and father, whilst trying to keep-up-appearances and deal with bullies at school. The brilliant cast, special effects and music keep this film in your mind for days after watching it.

I expected this film to be another lockdown-lacklustre, forgetful film. But it wasn't. It is a film filled with the darkest of humour and a fun main performance albeit with a bizarre, simply gruesome plot. If you're not too squeamish, and love edge-of-the-seat moments, and not a vegan - then this film is a great watch.

What a nice surprise it is when a film delivers fully on its tags: Action, Drama, thriller. It had me hooked from the start.
