I watched a made for TV movie from 2002 this afternoon called Salem Witch Trials with Kirstie Alley,Shirley McClaine,Gloria Rueben and Rebecca DeMornay. An excellent movie. But while watching it I couldn't help drawing parallels between it and what's going on nowadays. Fear,paranoia,mob mentality,turning on your friends and neighbors and gross injustices carried out on the flimsiest of evidence.And a lot of accusations.Sound familiar? At one point in the movie an innocent woman was hanged simply because a guy had a wet dream about her.And to the tribunal that was spectral evidence.
