I gave it three stars only because the acting was great. Other than that I don't know why directors and producers take a great story and make it into an "ok" one. This film leaves so much out. It IS NOT true to Homer's Odyssey! In my opinion, they left out 1) The God Athena disguising Odysseus as an old man. 2) The planning between Odysseus and his son to kill the suitors. 3) Odysseus meets his father Laertes before he dies. These were all essential pieces to the original story that easily could have been incorporated into the movie to make it more true to the original poem. the movie put a modern twist on it which if it weren't for the superb acting would have failed.

Horrible movie. moves way too fast and concept is very hard to comprehend. All In all me and my guest wanted to leave at so many different points in the movie but we kept on sticking it out praying it would eventually make sense. It didn't. A FLOP
