Jessica Chastain, Andrew Garfield & Vincent Dinofrio are absolutely phenomenal in each of their portrayals. PTL & 700 Club were predatory. But I still don't think Tammy had a clue. She took a lot of heat for her husband's actions. Falwell is so unbelievably portrayed by D'Onofrio that it takes time to realize that this is an actor and not the person coming back from hell. Jessica Chastain is fearless. Absolutely fearless. She is unapologetic in all of Tammy's rights, wrongs and just things she was naive of. Andrew Garfield is bold in the portrayal of a Charismatic who uses every opportunity to make a buck and having no financial literacy essentially creates a ponzi scheme out of his ministry. Riveting. And yes some of it is glossed over to make it palpable for an audience 40 years later. It was the 80s. A massive part of the history. Final note I was so pleased to see nothing derogatory about Jessica. Very classy.
