I had reservations looking at the trailer as to whether this movie would be worth watching. Having seen the positive reviews earlier this week, I decided to take my family out to see it who all have enjoyed the previous Creed movies. I have to say that I should have followed my instincts and not seen the movie. What has always been exciting is the danger of the opponent in both the Rocky and Creed movies. The bad guy in this case Damien Anderson doesn't pull it off for me as a formidable opponent that previous foes such as Drago have done. The fight scenes weren't as brutal as before and the finale showdown was not spellbinding as in the previous movie in which a Russian in the audience actually applauded the action from his "compatriot ". Rocky Balboa was clearly missed in this movie and for me this was not a memorable film that I would watch again despite the critical appraisal in the media.

Gripping opening scenes which had me on the edge of my seat but that was as good as it got. The least compelling of Daniel Craig's 5 movies and the plot was not very exciting at all. I liked the cameo appearance of Ana de Armas as Paloma in which her part was too small in the movie. Lashana Lynch's role was totally unnecessary and worst of all the villain was right up there with the worst in the history of the franchise. In hindsight it would have been perfect for Daniel Craig to have walked off in the sunset at the end of Skyfall which was wonderfully directed by Sam Mendes. Despite all of this, I salute Daniel Craig who is the best 007 since the late, great Sean Connery.

Awesome series with a fantastic cast!

Some original movies should be left alone and not be dug up again after 30 years. This is clearly one of those movies that has disappointed.
