It is a gripping film where one is led to believe that brilliant ideas can be borne among the poor by spark of genius. However, is disempowered to fly and realize the outcome of his genius without the support of elite men with money who are willing to bet on Peter's idea. The layering of emotions has to be overcome by Peter, his pride built from poverty, trauma and strict religion holds him back from fully trusting those who have seen his potential and his blinding pride coming from an impoverished background is his counterpoint to lavish wealth that he been made to taste and relish. The dialectical tension in his mind defeats him in the end and on Jakobe who understands his dilemna is able to provide him comfort to at least be recognized as genius patriot in her small school; it is perhaps the glimmer of hope for him to give himself peace.
