There are parts of this film that are fun, but mostly an overly gruesome self-parity from Gunn on 'Guardians of the Galaxy' with Bloodsport = Star-Lord, King Shark = Groot, Harley Quinn = Rocket and Ratchercatcher = Gamora... and then it really goes off the rails when Gunn does a weird homage to "Ghostbusters" giant Stay-puft marshmallow man . all in all, glad I didn't pay to see it in a theater.

Spike Lee turns to prophesy here - the story is powerful and carried tremendous impact, but now even more than ever with the current state of affairs, which in so many ways matches the divide and hatred and sadly still the lack of full citizen status black america must deal with.As a homage to bogart in 'Treasure of the Sierra Madre", Delroy Lindo must be considered an Oscar selection for his powerful and painful portrayal
