Black ops 6 is refreshing, at first I had my worries because call of duty had become known for it's overpriced cosmetic bundles which ruined my experience of playing the game. I originally lost interest in the franchise.
If it's one thing Treyarch are capable of, it's making a fantastic FPS game. The game in it's current state shows it has the capability to go in great directions.
The multiplayer is engaging to play, so much that in a weird sense that it doesn't bother me to lose or win because I want to keep playing. Precious titles I couldn't enjoy because whilst it wasn't a premium experience to just play the game, seeing other players with their cosmetics was too much & it separated the community. In the game's current state, it's welcoming we all have the same equality of unlocking comestics without a paywall. I expect it to change sure, for now it returns me to my Call of Duty 4 / World at War roots of why I like playing FPS shooters in the first place.
The zombies experience is overwhelming amazing, the fact I can save my zombie runs makes me cross my fingers that we get something similar to what was in cold war with exploring large maps & having a sense of campaign or purpose added to already brilliant mechanics of wave survival & extracting when it feels right.
Respectfully, I haven't played the campaign & maybe I will play it one day.
I have no doubt that this will be a game I play just as much as COD: Cold War. Whilst I won't name it as my GOTY title, it was definitely nominated.
