Binged watched this series on 2024. It was sooo cringe to me at first but I guess that its charm. It was well written so relatable to us working in the office. Dwight Schrute was my favorite. Even on seasons 8 and 9 the comedy is still good. I wish they made Dwight manager on episode 7 though but hey Andy is great. The office can make a good clip for HR videos on what not to do.

Played by Lee Do Hyun (57th Baeksang Best New Actor) and Go Min Si (Lee Do Hyun's sibling in Sweet Home). The two embarks on the journey of young love during the Gwangju uprising of 1980. I love watching this type of series because you get to experience the culture and feel of that era, and the choice of cinematography made sure of that. As expected in any revolution movie or series, at some point, a tragedy is imminent. While the series centers on the two youths during May of 1980, the story blended well with the politics and historical events. As I watch the series, I am so thankful I didn't live during martial law. Anyone can be red-tagged as a rebel. It's refreshing to see Go Min Si take on a submissive demeanor. Usually, she is a typecasted as a mean girl. As lovers, LDH and GMS onscreen chemistry are excellent. The supporting cast, especially on GMS side of the family, is amazing. I shed a lot of tears at the end. I'm a sucker for a good family drama. Overall, it's a series to watch if you are okay with someone dying in the end hahahaha. It's not a secret; actually, it's shown in episode 1, but you don't know who.

My regret was I never get to see this on the big screen. My radar didn't catch it. The movie was soooo enjoyable I was smiling the whole time. My inner child was so happy. It's not surprising it got a fresh review from rotten tomatoes. So good! Not yet available in streaming platforms. I rented it on Google movies to watch the HD version.

I had this title on my watchlist after watching Mr.Queen. Donghak was mentioned in the series, so I searched about it and came across this drama. After a while, I forgot about it. A few weeks back, I followed Yoon Shi Yoon's filmography and remembered I already have this marked on Netflix. I just finished watching it, and it did not disappoint. Wow, the last Korean drama that I watched with this feeling was Jumong. It was great. Suppose you love a piece of history. Watch this. The setting was during the Donghak Peasant Revolution. This revolution paved the way for democratic Korea (south) today. As a creative choice, they added a fictional character, "the Goblin," for a plot device. It worked well with the story. The cinematography is excellent, and I love how they change the color tone depending on the mood. There was a scene where the Goblin's color is unsaturated and dark while the other character on the same frame is colored. This adds to the symbolism of how the character is no longer what he used to be. He chose the dark path. Overall, I love it. I love the war scenes, OST, great acting. I hope our country can produce a historical series like this. We have a rich history too that is worth telling. 😍

The movie has the usual "babad" (slowburn) feels in indie movies. It shows the usual day to day life of a guy (Han Suk Kyu, Dr. Romantic) in his photo studio. The movie doesn't have the fabulous outfit, scenic location, and drama. Han Suk Kyu's character has a terminal disease and the scenes leading to his destination was tastefully done. Straightforward, no pretension, no dramatic musical score. The end made me sigh. What a good movie, so simple.

What a great way to end Daniel Craig's 007. Great movie.

The replacement was better in my opinion. Finally a Goguryeo period drama that isn't a drag.
