Edgy rendition of a children's show. Definitely not for children and an interesting take on the original cartoon version. Since I have never watched the children's show, I dont have critical comparisons and imagine the criticism is from the fact that it is dark. It is similar to teen wolf with Michael J. Fox vs the MTV drama remake. Both were enjoyable both the light hearted version and the dark. I liked the character development and could relate to the cast. I think that it would do well to continue and I would definitely like to see a new season!
