I have to say, I was very disappointed in it. The one thing the original had, that this one seems to be missing, is a sound track of all new artists with amazing techno sound. I heard the Mortal Kombat sound track a time or two in the movie, but.. it lacked something. I was also confused why they did not bother to put the tournament into the movie, as that is the entire point of Mortal Kombat. The story felt rushed, and I never cared about any of the characters. As someone that was blow away by the original Mortal Kombat (back in the 1995's), I was hoping to ever get a fraction of what made the original that amazing, and I got nothing. The one prop I will give it, is they combat is good, and it has 2021 special effects. But with that said, Into the badlands more or less did it better for multiple seasons.
