I was interested in this movie after seeing the preview, but critic reviews threw me off from watching it and then I never got around to it. I regret that, this movie was absolutely good and I don’t understand all the bad critic reviews? This is not normally my type of genre, I usually steer clear from anything western or heavily religious, however this movie had me interested from the start. There is absolutely no humour or romance in this movie, it’s extremely dark, and that’s ok. The actors were great in their roles, you could feel the emotion of Tom’s character and Robert Pattinson has certainly come along way since his Twilight days. I hated his character but it was excellently portrayed. It’s a long movie, and not super fast paced but it takes you through 3 or 4 different story lines that all eventually converge, and I thoroughly enjoyed it, you have to be in the right mood for that kind of movie but I do think it is definitely worth a watch.
