One thing about anthology is that there little scope to make a gripping story because of the limited time and resources, making is were directors can show their talent, all of the directors did their job right!

A script with extreme potential let down by heavy dramatization and unidimensional character representation. The acting, music, and camera work are the biggest positives.

A wonderfully made movie, with an excellent character sketch, music, and cinematography. It's a special movie in Tamil cinema history. Though the cinema doesn't have the rawness like gangs of Wasseypur, it stays true to its depiction of people in Madurai in that time frame, relatability especially in the first half might be a challenge given you watch the movie now!
