STOP THE HATE!!!!!! MINORITIES DESERVE RIGHTS! WE EXIST! Being LGBTQ+ is not a "s*xual thing". We're just people who exist. Gay relationships are love, just as any other type of love. If you hate us for existing, guess what? You're commititng blasphemy as we speak, and.... exagerating the flaws as a way to try to make a lgbtq+ film fail just because you hate our existence is prejudice. Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, etc, are beloved classics, and they're extremely generic and predictable. Cliche doesnt equal "bad." Stop the hypocrisy! You purpoesly trying to make this movie fail because there are people who look different from you, meanwhile, praising the heck out of generic or redone Disney stories constantly is just pathetic. If you are one of the people giving these kinds of so called "reviews"... please go outside... The fact that this movie is being hated to THIS extent just because they have a lgbtq+, minority, and disabled cast is depressing. This isnt "woke", we are not politics, our existence is not a p//n genre! POC EXIST! LGBTQ+ EXIST! DISABLED PEOPLE EXIST! Just as with Turning Red- if you cant see a movie past the labels or ethnicity of the characters, maybe it's not the movie being "bad", but YOU being an awful person who wants to put your child into a bubble of hate and hyper religious ignorance. It's fine if you have actual critiques, but hating on it because it shows the realities of generational trauma, hiding something that your child already knows about because these are things 90% of children experince in their lifetime is disgusting. Hiding your child from these things HURTS them, it makes it so they dont know how to deal with these problems. Its mistreatment such as this that hurts children daily. Hiding them from knowing what periods are, keeping them from knowing what trauma is, etc. Let your kids see this movie! Let them be open to people who arent just straight, white, or skinny. Let them see how many types of people are actually out there! Open their eyes with love and acceptance. For the sake of giving more love to this world, for the sake of your child's future, for the sake of our children, spread love, not hate! God told us to love thy neighbor, not to hate them or to make up lies about them for being different! Black Lives Matter! Lgbtq+ kids exist and dont deserve to feel "alien" or "disgusting" for existing. They are not a k*nk, they are real human beings who deserve love and empathy as any other child does. Homophobia is the object of hate! God wants love, not hate. To hate minorities is to hate God's word itself! Stop the hypocristy! As for the movie itself, though not perfect, does NOT deserve the constant hate it receivies. Stop the hate! It's a mediocre experience that gives well done animation... But otherwise was barely able to deliver on both it's the storyline and the characters who are mostly one-note or lean on stereotypes. The creator also has a history of either harassment or having a sense of denial at criticism with an "I do what I want!" attitude that will likely make things worse for her show's representation if she keeps acting like this as a grown adult. The character's having been stereotyped severely that either: A. Please others based on personal experiences alone. or B. Disturb those who actually objectively viewed the source material and examined the characters in themselves. The issue with objective A. is that though it's a good thing to share your experiences and connections to character... Using that to erasure other minorities' voices that have spoken out against the actual source material based on personal interest does nothing but make the situation worse for those who have spoken out. When both LGBT or minority groups who either speak for themselves or are pleased with the representation or those who have personal connections with the characters have the right to speak as minorities who deserve proper representation. The critical fans still receive either death threats or harassment to this day for attempting to give criticism by the fandom in the first place which further presents how the creator's mindsets against criticism further effect her audience. Along with the series in itself slowly falling into the mediocrity category based on the refusal to actually show improvement within the experience let alone the story. It's just a Pilot. A mediocre one at that. And you are allowed to like things that aren't good. End of Discussion. UPDATE: Hazbin Hotel was JUST pitched and I am honestly in joy for Vivziepop and her crew's accomplishments! But the issue is that her reactions to criticism have gotten worse through time along with the promotion through the Instagram being... Mostly the romanticization of Valentino's abusive relationship with Vox along with them being so desperate to make Valentino "intimidating" that they had him kill a dog ON SCREEN as a joke. With most of the series being the romanticization of the dark subject matters rather than being an actual "dark comedy" based on the sugar coating of the subject matters instead of having an actual joke involved. With the series's promotion becoming worse through time... Its no wonder more and more of the fandom is beginning to realize the faults of Vivziepop's refusal to truly change let alone understanding the source material in the first place. So the question is... Is Vivziepop actually going to accept feedback and make the proper change to make sure she reaches genuine success? Or... Is this going to fall into the "modern south park" levels of popularity? At this point... We'll have to wait and see... (Again, you can like Hazbin Hotel as a fan while acknowledging the show's flaws there's no need to send harassment and death threats over criticism for an ADULT CARTOON thank you!)
