I rarely get excited about programme's any more but this was different. As a child I remember listening to the audio version and it's haunting melody's. The trailor showed much promise, yet after watching the first episode for a short while it was clear that this was not going to go anywhere. Poor characters and storylines, not enough martians and tripods. A chance has seriously been missed to reignite H G Well's novel and show it as it was meant to be seen. Shame.....
