Prahalad Karnam

Another gem from the stable of Malayalam cinema. FF is the best thing that happened to Malayalam cinema since Mohanlal in Iruvar. M Cinemas are realistic to the core, but at the same time entertaining and touch the heart with their simplistic storytelling and acting. I really liked the simple narration of a dreamy young man from a village and the journey he passes through to become a mature and responsible man. The last dialogue that 'Akash belongs to Sky, I am on the ground - hence call me Prakash' - sums up the movie beautifully. If one is a FF fan then this is not a miss at all.

What a movie....edge of the seat thriller right till the end. It would be a shame to give it anything less than a 6/5. Both the protagonists have done an excellent job. Hats off to Prithviraj for playing an equal role and taking the humble road at the end, even though he is the 3rd biggest star in Malayalam Cinema. I could have never seen such a role from any Hero in any movie from Hollywood to Bollywood to Korean to Tamil etc. Biju is a pretty good actor but always carried a constipated face in the movie. Not sure whether the script wanted it so. The background score is really engrossing and the direction is really stupendous. I had this movie on my watch list for a long time but finally got to taste the best of the Malayalam movies and enjoyed every moment of it. Not to be missed at all.

Absolutely gory film. The first half is slow and boring. Thought it would build up to something thrilling in the 2nd half. But unfortunately, it was just two men fighting in WWE style. The amount of injury shown does not even stop the men from fighting. Such an unrealistic movie. Please don't watch it. I had to fast forward so many times that I did not miss the movie plot or story. Some people are saying that Moor played well. Honestly, a few WWE tricks with a fiendish smile does not make him an actor nor comparable to Tovino. People calling Moor a better actor than Tovino should imagine him in the romantic scenes. Hahaha.
