Took me a while to get to it because I wanted to replay the first one before starting this one, but I gotta say it was worth the wait. It takes what happened in the first game and continues to its next logical conclusion.
I like the strong sense of nihilism and despair present here. It's how a post-apocalyptic setting should feel. I like that the lines between "good" and "bad" are blurred, everyone has different morals and it's both understandable and relatable how each character reached them through the circumstances they've been put in.
The gameplay was pretty lacking, the only real change from the first being that they allow you to craft ammunition now; but it's tolerable because of how good the story is. I found myself empathizing with both playable protagonists, and rooting for them both to come out ok by the end. It's definitely a game you need to experience if you haven't yet.
