Superb Documentary that follows the life of an amazing Octopus living in the wild as nature intended. Now anyone rating this as a 1 star film is completely naive. They assume that a human needs to interfere with animals and start meddling with their everyday routine.
I can understand some viewers are unhappy about a Filmmaker who chooses to observe the Octopus, and not interfere, even in times of stress or dangerous encounters. But we need to remember that this isn't an episode of Lassie.
I'm not sure there's anyone out there going around helping animals survive in the wild. Like helping them build a nest, forage for food, or anything.
In terms of other viewers, we just have to allow people to have poor taste and completely naive views about how a documentary film is made. They're oblivious to the time it takes to film, or how much time is put into producing, editing etc.
Put simply it's a brilliant documentary. And rest assured you'll love watching this unique film about an amazing Octopus, with a beautiful spirit, that's captured throughout most of it's life swimming in the amazing oceans of South Africa.
