Too long. It seemed like the kind of project film students love to produce- stream of consciousness type of thing ("artsy" and "philosophical") if you can last that long...

Great spy thriller. I liked how they interlaced real historical drama with the plot.

loose the soapy, predictable and slow moving subplots of Sean, Maddie, the murderous Dr., Dr. Angela and her husband and you would have had a much better and tighter show, a la Billions, or Succession. The only interesting character is Anne, although sometimes they gave her insufferably long dialogue to say, the actress Renee Z. carried it well. I like Revenge better- perhaps Kelley lost his touch, or perhaps the production team keeps thinking the audience is idiotic and like the simplistic,formulaic subplots, and pseudo romantic melodrama they filled the episodes time with. Stop insulting the intelligence of you audience- this is the 21st century.

The best movie I saw in Netflix recently ( December 2019)- great actors, wonderful script. The story flows, and it works at many thematic levels, so it's a very rich movie. The film's director knows his medium well, showcases his good taste in filmmaking. His knowledge of history and culture seep through the movie in a smooth and entertaining way. I am going to see it again! Congratulations to Netflix for showing such quality work.

One of the best and most intelligent crime series from the BBC and Netflix. Creative rendition of the story, great cinematography and character actors! Definitely not a formula TV series!

One of the most intelligent series put out by Netflix- great script ! Too bad it ends on a cliffhanger ...who is going to wait a whole year for season 2, just to find out what happened? Bad programming on the part of the streaming services..a year is a long time to wait and I wonder if the same audience would wait or come back for more. Another thing I liked about Diplomat is that the sex scenes in this series are not gratuitous like in other US TV shows that focus too much on the director's fantasy for doggie style sex (tiresome and repetitive) This show really focus in intimacy, with facial close ups talking . Also, the audience was spared the overused retching scenes in other US series which is also tiresome in American Movies and series relieving the actors from acting out scripted stress..So my kudos to The Diplomat series. I hope it does not end up like Netflix's The Bodyguard- another great series which did not make it to season 2!

An intimate look at war and its effect on civilians.

Love the characters, you can feel the intensity of the scenes and it gives you a realistic idea of what the world of finance is like!

A disappointing story- too many loopholes- like, how did he get the inventory, and what happened to his middleman- the one who transfered the money. Needed a tighter script.

If you have a taste for the bizarre- the is the movie to watch..
