This show defames millions of citizens who put dignity and democratic values above their own well-being. Not everyone can be as noble and selfless, but as a Korean decendant proud of her scio-cultural heritage, I feel obliged to tell shameless political design apart from historic truth.

The writer of the original book is a person of an incredibly strong and beautiful mind. He went through most challenging periods in Korean history as a deprived and physically challenged individual, but never gave up his dignity and love for most vulnerable people and living creatures.
The Katuri series itself is a great show introducing diverse animal friends kids can find in nature. My little one asks questions about animal traits she picked up through this show, and which sometimes turns into a pretty serious biology/sociology discussion.
