As cute as the movie looks, the kid is a bit of an a**hole. I’m not a big fan of the main character not taking personal responsibility for her actions and emotions. This can be a common theme in movies but usually the character will go through some kind of growth or transformation. She blames a lot on her external circumstances and does not acknowledge that she hurts people in this, she lacks a lot of empathy, granted she’s in pain - would have just been good to see better growth, instead of a meek apology when it’s too late. I felt more sadness for the robot than the girl the whole movie. I wouldn’t classify it as a feel good movie except for how much the robot cares for her unconditionally.
