First, I do like this reboot of Project Runway on Bravo. I like the positivity and supportiveness of the designers. I'd rather see competition based on the merits of the design than the backstage drama and intrigue.
I'm not liking the fact that in every episode so far there have been comments about work looking "old lady." I don't recall so much of this in prior seasons. Maybe because of Tim Gunn. People need to check their ageist attitudes. Project Runway has been leading the pack
with regards to body positivity and routinely has plus size models. They need to bring some of that forward-thinking and understanding to the issues surrounding age. After all, we can change almost everything about ourselves, but we will all get older (barring unfortunate events.) I know we don't like to look at that hard truth, especially in the fashion industry, but why make aging harder. And can fashion make aging easier, better, something we could look forward to?
