Acting is so so. Like when our main character return to the family thru the lightning portal, it felt like his wife was expecting him to come thru that portal. Fight scenes doesn't give the feel of energy of wanting to fight. It's like the old movies where the fight is so obviously choreographed that every punch and kick is like just swinging their limbs to slap somebody but without energy. Story and character development is kinda shallow and unless you know what is the competition in Mortal Kombat is all about, a few things will not make sense. Maybe its nitpicking but I like how they cast Asians and Americans and using English, Chinese and Japanese but in the starting scene in ancient Japan, why did Sub Zero suddenly speak English 😂🤣 I have no idea what the main character is doing during the most important fight. Scorpion and Sub Zero is fighting next to him but he is busy punching ice to save his family and then suddenly decide to fight seriously. Kano is another character which does not make sense. Heck even Kano's nemesis hates him but suddenly both are on the same team just because of money. Why Sub Zero kept muttering 'for the clan'? Did something happen to the clan? Was it revenge? How did he became immortal? 🤔 How did the main character suddenly fight like he knew how to fight and kill? Overall, just weak character development 🤔😑🤦 If the enemy can appear anywhere, why must he make a grand entry thru the door? 😅 Story is so rushed and to the point I don't feel the importance of the competition. Why do the enemy want to conquer earth? What lther gods and realms are there? The movie feels more like there is an enemy so let us gather everyone and have the Avengers assembled!!! Editing feels bad. Many times the scenes feel jumpy. E.g. One minute the main character is punching ice the next min he blocked an attack by Sub Zero's but it was edited in a way he was ready to catch the attack🤦
