I absolutely loved every minute of this drama. It is riddled with death and sadness that can leave the viewer feeling shocked and empty, but also love, hope, and some comedic relief. I thought they couldn't have cast a better Crown Prince. Eun-bin delivered such an awesome performance. Although her smooth skin, high voice, and small build may have seemed too feminine for a supposed man, she had a "masculine aura" that made her part much more believable. I couldn't picture any other actress who could have pulled off the role better than her. Rowoon has such awesome chemistry with every female lead he acts with, so it was not surprising he nailed this role. I love watching him on-screen and have become a huge fan of his work. The viewer can rest assured that, while it may seem too intense and heartbreaking at certain times, happy endings will be found.

Bring out the tissues! This is one of the most heart-wrenching and emotional dramas I have ever watched. The episodes are centered around love and loss, friendship and family, darkness and despair, hope and new beginnings. For me, the most memorable episode was about the comfort women...I had no idea something like that happened in Korean history. It made me feel sick to think of what those women endured. I feel each story and character represents real human emotions and things many of us may have to endure in life..the loss of a pet, the death of a family member or friend, an eating disorder, low self-esteem, bullying, a miscarriage. The actors/actressess play their roles splendidly. It is an aboslute must watch.

I am incredibly shocked at some of the low reviews. It has all of those classic K-drama elements we know and love...a rich, out-of-tough heir, the "poor", down-to-earth love interest, and the family member who tries to destroy their relationship. But there is a difference when it comes to King the Land. I often find myself smiling from ear to ear when watching Jun-ho and Yoon-ah on screen. Their chemistry is off the charts. The way he interacts with her and looks at her had my heart swooning. We usually have to wait until the last episode to get a simple peck on the lips, but their "love" scenes were frequent, intense, and they both looked so natural together. They also did a great job building up the stories and relationships of the supporting characters. Great plot (albeit typical for a K-drama), great cast, awesome chemistry. Go watch it and get hooked like I did!

I am surprised by all of the positive comments. This book is sloppy and the writer seems almost immature. A few poems in and I knew it wasn't going to be for me. The writer has obviously experienced severe trauma, abusive relationships, and absentee male figures in her life. She takes these experiences and writes hollow words about them, almost like an angsty teenager writing a Facebook post. This book is way hyped up and underwhelming.

Viewers of the drama, please remember that this is a movie. The drama is able to build more on the complexity of the characters and the relationships since it spans many episodes. That is why their chemistry feels forced...because they only have two hours to work with. Anyone wanting to watch this movie should definitely watch the series first to help fill in any missing pieces on the story and to understand more of the plot. This movie was great in it's own way and it allowed me to revisit one of my favorite K-dramas with a more fulfilling ending!

I met Cindy at a book signing at Barnes and Noble in North Carolina, where the book, unsurprisingly, is based out of. She was one of the nicest people I have ever met! I decided to pick up her book. And boy was I glad I did. I finished it in one setting. I couldn't put it down, not even for an instant. From the first couple pages I knew I was hooked. I couldn't wait to untangle the mystery of her characters, and the more I desperately flipped through the pages wanting my questions answered, the more engrossed I had become! It is a simple concept...boy loves girl. And they would do what it takes to be together. Except, it's not. It is thought provoking, raw, passionate, and the characters had become just as real to me as if I'd known them my whole life! I am almost saddened I have finished it. I cannot wait to purchase the sequel! The anticipation is killing me! So please, if you haven't, support this wonderful author and pick up a copy of this book! It is a great addition to add to your library!
