V ABHIRAJ

KGF Chapter 1 is a picturesque portrayal of a character named Rocky. It has laid a benchmark of story telling. It has glorified a normal human being without any CGI to levels that would leave bleak the superheroes of Marvel and DC. Hats off to the director, cinematographer and the makeup artist to create monsters, demons and gods. It is a kind of movie that does not seek one's attention to detail and criticism citing exaggeration, it was meant to be exaggerated for there is no other way of showing the enormity of the characters playing the story. The jaw dropping narration of the protagonist and the other antagonists throughout the movie has laid a strong foundation to attract enough curiosity for Chapter 2. The instances where the narrator/writer moves ahead in the story somehow gives viewers hope that Chapter 2 would not be disappointing like Indian cinema's ritual. (No offense intended to Bahubali 2, or Race franchise and Bhai's flicks). Music, action and dialogues would reverberate the entire course of the movie in your head after you watch it. This movie is one of a kind creativity inducing awe and inspiration towards the work of art and effort put in it..

Throughout the movie we find ourselves revealed to facts through rigorous discussions taken up by several characters who portray and play their roles very much to perfection. But the entire story seems to be spread out sparsely over some silly and dinky events. The fiction involved in the story lays unconnected and strange, yet the witty display of language and wisdom covers for it. We might find the slang "Bh*****ke" used unnaturally and unnecessarily in several occasions just to glorify one single tradition. It is quite well understood that Indian audience and actors are accepting abusiveness in cinema but some in some instances in the movie it looked forced and unplanned. Mithilesh Chaturvedi's time on screen takes us to the good old times and back like beautiful school lessons that we better not miss his class in Pappu's Chai stall. Its a movie worth watching with an open and alert mind for there are gem like thoughts that could be pondered over for ages amidst some silly satire.

Bollywood's first superhero vigilante movie that has nailed an inception of Batman kind. DC and Nolan lovers would find the movie making sense. It can be seen as a revelation picturizing the beginning of Batman's struggle to understand the criminal world and understand their psychology. Just like Batman and several other superhero vigilantes the quest in search of their true calling begins with the feeling of revenge and goes on to shape the character of the hero. The best part of the movie is near reality and practical approach. This can be found inspiring and invigorating the sleeping vigour and creativity of several wannabe superheroes (sounds childish, but children are 'just' like our superheroes). The movie can be the first Indian superhero franchise of the likes of Batman, Robin, V, Green Arrow etc. Rating:4.5/5 (0.5 for a little drag in the middle of the movie)
