I was actually enjoying playing the game. I started playing the game by selecting campaign mode ( of course I did the tutorial as well). I developed the economy so well that basically every time I exported anything I would gain around 15-20k. I mapped out all my roads the way I wanted and had every building you could get in the colonial era which is the first era you begin in. I had the option to gain my independence and so I did so finally after feeling comfortable enough to leave the home country or “crown” behind. What I didn’t know is that once you do this in campaign it acts as if you beat the game and makes you move onto another island forcibly. Once I figured it basically took everything I worked so hard for away I decided to do a little research and it turns out it keeps doing this each time you gain your independence in the campaign or complete the main mission. I wish from the start I would have known to play the sandbox option to begin with so all my work wouldn’t have been for nothing. I would rather have the option to move rather than being forced. Because of that it ruined my whole experience and I deleted the game. If you’re reading this far into it just make sure you play the sandbox option and not the campaign. Trust me!
