This is an extraordinarily crafted movie. The performances surpass the emotive plot, -- Tanuja proved to be unparalleled -- I'd have never thought of Tanuja in this role, if the casting were someone else. But as she did it, I can't think of anyone who could have come closer to her. Jishu, who I occasionally find a bit reactionary, has full grip in his role. The personal affection and touch is clear in Param's direction. The movie is an excellent example of new generation of Bangla movie where high emotion and often dragged-down catharsis are replaced by controlled and subtle play of feelings.
