Although I understand a lot of the hate this game gets, I found it to be completely amazing and I can’t choose which is better of the 2 games. Both in terms of gameplay and visuals it is the best game to come out on the PS4 generation with guns that feel powerful and intense melee combat with great stealth mechanics. Enemies limbs and heads get ripped apart as you shoot and hack your way through post apocalyptic Seattle. But it’s the story that really shines in this game. Naughty Dog took a massive risk making a game that wasn’t just a bog standard sequel where Joel and Ellie go on another adventure but instead throws the player into an intense layered emotional plot full of highs and lows. Joel isn’t absent from this game like many feared and there are some beautiful flash back sequences which built massively on Joel and Ellie’s relationship from the first game. All in all this is a complete masterpiece that everyone should play. 10/10 best game of the generation. Ps. I’m not a Sony bot like you all think I am lol Edit: reading some other comments I saw that people thought Joel’s character especially wasn’t consistent from the first game, but what people should understand is Joel and Ellie have been living a relatively peaceful life for the years between the two games and the whole message was that Joel finally let down his emotional untrusting guard to Ellie, which is probably why many think he seemed too vulnerable and “weak” in the early scenes of part 2.
