When the first part of Bahubali was released in July 2015, I saw the pride of and ego of every Telungu speaking person and they were much delighted about the movie. They even played a huge role in making the movie a national obsession after the release of the second part. If the producers of the movie have not got this massive home support, the movie would not have become an international success.
When a movie like Mamangam is released in a small industry like Malayalam, the makers of the film are only getting negative feedbacks and trolls despite the movie being decent. I see good reviews about this film in most of the national news portals. A few local news agencies and individuals are deliberately trying to destroy the good image of this film.
These people are also trying to destroy the international image of Malayalam cinema, if at all it has an international market. I still remember when Pazhassiraja was released years ago, few people used to say that the film was not good. But the movie turned out to be one of the best. If Keralites don't respect Malayalam films, how will other do it.
