THE LOST FRAGRANCE OF INFINITY. Qaraar a young craftsman whose life has turned upside down in a matter of few days . He embarks on to a journey to realise his lost purpose and passion for his craft. Qaraar and Abheira , one a craftsman with humble beginnings and the lady is the daughter of a general under Mohammad Shah reign in delhi. Their love is contradictory to accepted norms during the Mughal rule but under mohmmad shah who was an emperor with a taste in art and Sufism paved the way for changes. Clandestine affair turned expressive and the wait for the two to unite with vows in godly presence. Qaraar always wanted to perfect his craft for which he took his time but unfortunately by the time he succeeded delhi was attacked by nadir shah destroying everything that he loved and subsequently qaraar began his journey to the land of the Sufis eventually uniting him to a cause bigger than whatever he has lost. It is a tale for creative dwelling , as the reader proceeds to a more satisfactory ending there is a twist in a poetic way , the whole book contains poems from various sufi poets resonating with the protagonist in a way also entrenches the readers mind, only one has to read to comprehend. Personally, for me , the book has introduced me to the mysticism of the Sufis with no limitations for the love of God and various ways for a human expression. A must read.
