I Am Malala: The Story of the Girl Who Stood Up for Education and was Shot by the Taliban is an autobiographical book by Malala Yousafzai, co-written with Christina Lamb. It is her story before the shooting, then during the time when she was shot and after that incident of her getting shot. So, this means it does not include when she got noble prize and all.
This book is full of hope, courage, and inspiration. It is beautiful. In her story she first talks about what really was going on in swat at that time. How her father dealt with that situation and how he taught her to be brave and an education lover, not to forget how her mother was being the pillar they can lean on. The love she has for education I just cannot explain. She went to school knowing very well that her life was in danger, she is amazing.
Her story told me that the sky is not the limit. We can dream beyond our limits, we can go wherever we want, all we need to have is trust in ourselves, courage, and hope. Her story made me realize that I am blessed with a lot I do not even thank for, all small blessings that we ignore, I realized how big they are. And never ever compromise on your dreams, fulfill them despite any kind of hurdle.
Being a Pakistani, I do not know why some Pakistanis judge her in negative way. I know not ALL the girls are deprived of education in Pakistan but there still are a lot of girls and boys living in rural areas who does not get education and raising voice for such beautiful souls is so courageous of her. She also showed the soft side of Pakistan in this book which I am thankful for.
I recommend this book to all the young souls in Pakistan and the world, so that they can know that there are always different perspectives of a story, never listen to only one side of the story
